What is Reiki?

Reiki is a Japanese word that literally  means 'universal life energy'. Reiki can also be referred to as energy healing.


During a reiki session, the practitioner uses a healing technique to channel or transfer energy into the client to restore physical and emotional well-being. 

The practitioner will use symbols and chakra points to transfer the universal life energy into a clients. The practitioner can also uses crystals to amplify the energy transfer. 


Benefits of Reiki


Reiki has many benefits, but the most common benefits include;

  • Stress reduction

  • Relaxation

  • Aids in better sleep

  • Improves emotional, mental and spiritual well-being

  • Helps the body’s natural healing abilities


Something to keep in mind: Every individual is unique and reiki sessions will affect individuals differently. Reiki can be done in different formats whether is be a person to person attunement with touch, a person to person attunement without touch or a distance attunement that's being done in by the reiki master in another location. Attunements might not work as well the first time or at all for some individuals as it would for other individuals but keep in mind that universal life force energy has been transferred into regardless if you do notice it right away or gradually or you don't notice it at all, the energy is there.
